Our Story

My brother, sister and I lost our mother 30 years ago and have been visiting her cemetery for birthdays and holidays ever since. We can’t help but get emotional when we’re there, however, we quickly realized we didn’t want our gatherings to honor her in a mournful way. In addition to flowers, we started bringing her favorite photos, music and other sentimental gifts, but none of those were able to withstand the test of time. From there, we considered ways to personalize the stone itself with something more uplifting than her name and date of death. What came next was our first laser engraved image. Invoking our mother’s rebel spirit and amazing talent for accessorizing, we mounted the stone tile to her existing headstone in Queens, New York. And poof! There she was, greeting us each time we visited. Going to the cemetery was never the same again.
